WORKING RANCH | PARADISE VALLEY, MONTANA

AMB West Land + Livestock

In addition to serving guests, Mountain Sky is a working ranch run by the AMB West Land + Livestock team. The team manages agriculture and conservation for the AMB West portfolio.

Land and Livestock (L&L) operations is based at the bottom of Big Creek Road which is called “Lower Ranch.”  L & L responsibilities include irrigated hay and grazing ground, rangeland, leased pasture, a cow/calf herd, seasonal cattle, and noxious weed management. L&L works across Mountain Sky Guest Ranch, West Creek Ranch, and The Ranch at Dome Mountain, covering over 20,000 acres. Over 800 acres are irrigated to produce high-quality hay for the horse and cattle herds. Noxious weed management is an important part of rangeland health and management. L&L has an in-house weed management crew, and also partners with a contract weed-spraying company.

Guests of AMB West ranches have the opportunity to experience working ranch activities during their stay, including cattle work and team penning.
